Our Horses

Horses have always been my passion.  I rode all the time as a kid and tried to coax my daughter’s first word to be "pony."  (It was DaDa!)  I watched from the ringside as my daughter got her first horse and began competing in local and 4H shows.  I really enjoyed being groom, stable cleaner, and show Mom, but secretly wanted my own horse. 

Unfortunately, I did become a horse owner, and what a disaster!  I purchased a beautiful half-Arab palomino filly while on vacation in Northern California.  Good thing she was pretty, because she sure was crazy!  After that bad experience you would think I learned something, but I did almost the same thing again about ten years later!

Well, by the time I moved to Fallbrook, I was getting ready to retire and didn’t think I would ever get another horse although I wanted one desperately!  Then I met miniature horses and we became the owner of a mini mare and her weanling colt!

The original intent was just to have them as pets.  Well, they're kind of like potato chips, you can't have just one...or two.... or three...  Fortunately we were referred to Joel White, of Joel White Show Horses before I bought a couple more minis on my own!.  What luck!  Joel’s training facility is less than five miles from our home! 

In 2005 Joel offered us a chance to purchase a Pony-Vista filly he was offering for sale. I hesitated at first. “I don’t like pintos,” I said.  Joel said to think about it because this little girl “had what it takes.”  Well, Joel took that filly to a National Championship for us in 2006!

Well, now we’re hooked!   I love caring for and watching these beautiful little horses!  We are now beginning to concentrate on AHMR/ASPC registered horses. We have only barely begun our endeavor and are looking forward to the future!
